Maintaining a personal journal for artwork can allow for self-expression, foster creativity, and provide a container for processing feelings and experiences. Additionally, exchanging art journals with peers, friends, and others can encourage social interaction, foster empathy and cohesion, and be a source of validation. Art journals may be purchased, fashioned from used novels and textbooks, or created with household supplies. *No client work created during art therapy practicums is included in work below.
